  • DAY 2Jungle trek to Mondayaku Waterfall, and Guayusa plantation visit. Afternoon visit to Kichwa community. Nocturnal walk looking for frogs & insects.
  • DAY 3Early breakfast and check-out. With transportation: Soak in the Papallacta hot springs on the return journey. Without transportation: make your own way home after check-out.

Access – transportation

  • You can choose to hire this tour with private transportation (pick up from either a Quito hotel or the Quito airport) OR to make your own way to the lodge (by bus from Quitumbe to Tena, one-way ticket is 7 USD.
  • You will have to get off in a small town called COTUNDO, from where you can take a Taxi to Huasquila for approx. 4 USD.
  • Make sure to tell the bus driver to leave you in the small town of COTUNDO, not at the main road, since from there it will be hard to take a taxi).
