Galapagos National Park Regulations
HELP TO PRESERVE THE ISLAND
Please help us to protect our Galapagos friends by following the National Park rules!!!
DO NOT:
- Touch or feed the animals
- Take food to the uninhabited islands
- Remove plant, animal or natural objects from the islands
- Stand too closely to animal nesting sites
- Stray from the marked trails and paths
- Leave litter on the islands or in the sea
- Buy souvenirs made of plants or animals
Many guides do not explain these rules to their tour groups and as a result it is common for tourists to cause damage to the ecosystem due to lack of awareness, and sometimes even the guides and crew themselves break these rules. So please do all you can to raise awareness if you see somebody doing something that they shouldn't be doing.
If we all consider the effect that our visit has on the environment and reduce the negative impacts then Galapagos can be preserved for wildlife to thrive and future generations to enjoy!!!
