Galapagos Diving

The Galapagos Islands are undisputed as being one of the world’s leading areas for scuba diving. The range of underwater wildlife together with the fact that it is all so close-up makes for some memorable dive experiences!

Recent changes to National Park regulations now prohibit diving on all but a very few expensive, specialist dive yachts. Whilst this is a positive development to protect the wildlife it has caused considerable disappointment for many dive-fans as it has greatly limited diving opportunities aboard cruises.

It is not all bad news though as diving daytrips from Santa Cruz Island have not been affected by this rule change and can take you to some wonderful dive sites.

Floreana	Beginners/Intermediate dive site. Possible to see: reef fish, barracuda, white-tipped / Galapagos / hammerhead shark, ray, sealion, turtle, seahorse	$190
Cousins	Beginners/Intermediate dive site. Possible to see: black coral, frog fish, hammerhead shark, turtle, seahorse	$190
Daphne	Beginners/Intermediate dive site. Possible to see: sea sponge, small fish, Galapagos shark	$190
Guy Fawkes	Beginners/Intermediate dive site. Possible to see: turtle, ray, small fish, Galapagos shark, sealion	$190

Tours typically start at 07:00 and return at 15:30 with 2 dives, equipment, dive master and lunch all included. All divers must be fully certified. Minimum dive experience only applies for Gordon Rocks dive experience of 30 immersions is required.

To hold a reservation dive operators require full advance payment in all cases. All divers are recommended to have a copy of their PADI certification with them to ensure that they are allowed to dive.
