Manatee Explorer Cruise

This is a journey into the planet's heart - the Amazon Basin, home of the world's largest body of freshwater which represents about one-fifth of all running water on Earth. Its trees are our damper against the effects of global warming, and the whole area is home to some of the most incredible natural biodiversity on earth today.

Rainforest cruising is a unique way to experience the Amazon as we drift between different destinations waking up somewhere new each day to give you a full flavour of the magic that exists in this green paradise - visiting communities and the best wildlife sites along the way. The Manatee boat was specially designed for Amazon cruising and includes features such as comfortable cabins with aircon, private bathroom and hot water, dining room, sun terrace and lounge area. Optional glamping (glamorous camping) is another nice added feature for a unique rainforest experience.

The Manatee itineraries have been customized by the company CEO who was Capitan of the Orellana Flotel for over 15 years. No one, aside from locals, knows the area better than him, which is why they are able to offer perfectly-balanced itineraries including onboard activities such as Ecuadorian cooking classes, how to make Ecuadorian handicrafts, napkin and towel folding, along with Amazon excursions during the day and night, combined with recreational activities like kayaking and canoeing, swimming, bird watching, and observation tower visits, to name just a few! All activities are led by our local nature guides who have been in the Amazon cruising business for over 20 years.
