ITINERARY

| Day 1 |
You should aim to arrive at the lodge by approx 1pm in time for lunch – so plan your transport accordingly.
The afternoon activity is horse-riding along rivers and through the lush forest. This activity is guided and is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders alike.

| Day 2 |
An all day guided excursion trekking into the rainforest with a native guide who can explain about the flora and fauna that you encounter as well as some interesting insights into medicinal properties of the plants.
Returning to the lodge there is time to swim in the pool or river before dinner. |
| Day 3 |
An adrenalin-packed day rafting on the class 3/3+ Jatunyacu, you will drift down both exhilarating white-water rapids as well as calmer stretches where you can appreciate the passing scenery. Again this activity is suitable for beginners or experienced rafters. |
| Day 4 |
After breakfast it is time for last-minute packing and the return journey to Quito. |

LODGE BACKGROUND
Hakuna Matata offers spacious rooms with bathroom, hot water, excellent mattresses and mosquito protection.
The Pangaea serves delicious meals with hygiene and freshness a priority. There is also a bar serving soft drinks, cocktails and beer.A real highlight though is the attractive outdoor swimming pool – perfect for an afternoon soak after a hectic day of activities!

ACCESS/TRANSPORT
The tour starts and finishes at the lodge in Tena. It is possible to arrive either in public or private transport (approx 6 hours one way from Quito). Public buses costs approx $6 to Tena from where taxis can take you to the lodge, or ask our sales staff for help and costing of private transport. |
