Itinerary for 4 days

  • Day 1 Journey to lodge from Coca by motorised canoe crossing the Napo River until reaching the Amazon Dolphin Lodge and the PAÑACOCHA Protected Forest. During the trip a light lunch will be provided. Night walk along a short path to observe insects, nocturnal rodents, reptiles, etc. and listen to the fantastic nocturnal concert of the Jungle. .
  • Day 2 Tour of the Pañacocha lagoon in a rowing canoe. Return to the camp for breakfast. Rowing canoe ride through the lagoon and walk along an exclusive path for observing vegetation and waterfowl. Lunch in the Jungle. In the afternoon do a fun piranha fishing. Dinner and accommodation.
  • Day 3 Early in the morning visit the Quichua community of KURIMUYO and visit the parrot and parakeet salting place in the YASUNI National Park. Continue the trip to the Quichua community of EL PILCHE. Then continue the trip to the YARINA Ecological Reserve. After dinner take a night walk around the forest.
  • Day 4  Breakfast, check-out and return to Coca city.

Itinerary for 5 days

In the afternoon share with the native guides their knowledge about the use of the most outstanding weapon of the Ecuadorian Amazon, the so-called “BODOQUERA OR CERBATANA” Dinner. Night ride in small boats (canoes) through the waters of the Pañacocha River.
  • Day 4 Early in the morning visit the Quichua community of KURIMUYO and visit the parrot and parakeet salting place in the YASUNI National Park. Continue the trip to the Quichua community of EL PILCHE. Then continue the trip to the YARINA Ecological Reserve. After dinner take a night walk around the forest.

Inclusions

  • 3 meals per day (from lunch on day 1 to breakfast on final day).

  • Native naturalist speaking guide- English / Spanish translator guide.
  • Transport to/from Coca and the lodge.
  • Drinkable water.

  • Use of rubber boots (up to size 43).
  • Entry fee Yasuni $25pp.
  • Entry fee Panacocha $10pp.

Exclusions

  • Transport between Quito and Coca.
  • Tips / drinks from bar / other personal expenses.
  • Single supplement (50%).
  • Chidren under 12 years: 30% discount.
  • Personal jungle equipment such as rain coat, lantern and hiking shoes (from size 44 upwards), rubber boots (size 44 upwards).

Access - transportation

  • The tour starts and finishes at the town of Coca.
  • There is a direct flight from Quito to Coca for $291 return fare (subject to change) – we can help with your flight reservation or provide information of which bus to catch.
  • Please note that the lodge charge a $10 penalty fee for passengers who do not book flights directly through them.
